"Disappointing "

Having had the food here recommended I was looking forward to a nice evening out. We were shown to our table and then had to wait 25 minutes for the waitress to come and take our order. Our drinks then sat on the bar for ages before being brought over to us.
My friend enjoyed her fish and chips when it arrived. I ordered Coachman’s chicken which was Hunters chicken by another name. I requested no bbq sauce but this was a mistake. The chicken was over cooked and dry and the chips were tasteless. I ate less than half the chicken breast and very few chips. There was no mention of this when plates were removed. I would have expected a comment to ask if there was something wrong with the meal

We then had to wait ages for dessert choices to be taken. The dessert looked impressive and the ice cream within the sundae along with a mountain of fluffy cream was delicious. From start to finish the meal took over two and a half hours for two courses. I’ve eaten a 5 course testing menu in less time.
