The George Hotel, Amesbury

"Nice location, but poor service"

We chose The George because its menu looked great, lots of variety, for all preferences.
Unfortunately, we found the service poor - our waitress' shift ended during our meal and we were abandoned! Half of our party opted for the Sunday roast, and were disappointed with the huge overcooked Yorkshire pudding!!
The second waitress was much more attentive, but our meal was already over!
Thankfully there was a good selection of desserts and cocktails.
