The George Hotel, Amesbury

"Amazing"

Have been to hotel previously to eat and food was amazing and the courtyard, restaurant and bar areas were lovely so we we decided it would be a possible venue for a small get together with family members the night before my daughters wedding at a venue local to there in 2026. We therefore wanted to see what the rooms were like. We weren't disappointed. The room was lovely, very quaint ans clean and tidy. Our evening meal was so good as was our breakfast. The service at times was a little slow but we didn't mind as we weren't in any hurry. The only draw back was they don't have a family room but i was reassured they have certain bedrooms that would have space for a small bed to be accommodated. We will return in the near future to try out another room and also for an afternoon visit to try out their afternoon tea to see if it is up to the standard of all their other food as we are also considering booking a buffet for our daughters pre wedding get together if we can secure enough bedrooms.
