The George Hotel, Amesbury

"Great hospitality!"

We stayed for 2 days and we enjoyed the whole experience. We were greeted on arrival and we were asked If we had managed to park ok in the Hotel car-park (we did)
We had pre-booked our evening meal in the restaurant and it was lovely. We booked our breakfast for 8.30 the following morning and although we were 15 minutes early, this wasn’t a problem. In fact the only glitch we had in the entire weekend was trying to turn the infrared bathroom mirror off! We had fun trying, waving our arms, clapping, all to no avail….We finally found out a simple tap under the right hand side of the mirror did the trick 😂 The bedroom was very comfortable and the whole hotel had a blend of old world charm and modern additions. We would definitely stay again!
