The George Hotel, Amesbury

"Disappointed "

Due to stay overnight on Wednesday 18th September. On route informed our room was blocked due to infestation of wasps, and that we were to be relocated to a nearby guest house. This Our room in said guest house was tired with a double bed. We are used to a king size bed which we requested at the George. The shower dripped all night. When we went back to the George for dinner early evening we observed at least 8 people booking in. Why were we aged 75 and 74 told at 12.20pm that day whilst on route that we were to be relocated. No one offered to carry our bags the 200 yards from the hotel to the guest house. We did take up the offer of complimentary dinner by Briony who was very professional. This gesture was appreciated. All in all though how can we make a booking with the Coaching Inn Group being unsure that the same thing would not happen again.
