The Manor Coastal Hotel & Inn, Blakeney

"What a shame. Not a review you would like but I was asked."

A very well presented establishment which was warm and welcoming. Could not find anywhere to hang wet coats (it was raining when we arrived) and not offered anywhere. We were booked for dinning but the restaurant was closed and we were told to eat in the bar area. We were seated beside each other looking directly at a window which had a black outlook (yes I know it was the evening) with rain running down the panes. The young waiter was a very pleasant and efficient. The food was ok (catch of the day was not priced on the menu and we were not informed of the price when ordered and it turned out to be quite expensive for what it was).
Not impressed with the "NO CASH" sign which really cheapened the place. I could not find any mention of this policy when booking on line. You are left to only imagine the reasons why. In our case this rule will be one of the reasons preventing our return or recommending the Manor. Strangely the Pheasant sister hotel at Kelling which is excellent seems quite happy to take cash and give you change.
