"Disappointing "

The general experience was not up to the standard their website suggests they wish to achieve. Our bar table was wet, we asked got a cloth and were given one. Any decent place a member of staff would come and sort out the table. Everything was slightly sticky to the touch. Dinner very disappointing. The focaccia was dry and hard work. The whipped butters were very hard. My pigeon on toast was cold. Some of each of our mains were cold whilst other bits very hot. My mash was tepid. It was supposed to be olive oil mash but there was no hint of that. We did complain and did get 50% of the food bill. The staff were friendly though the manager was not impressive. When we complained he said he’d feed it back to the chef. But didn’t return to us do we had to ask what the chef had said.
