"Trading on its name's reputation, sadly "
It all felt a bit disappointing......The menu offered was fairly standard but nothing of the wonderfully produced fayre from around Cornwall. The large restaurant where we were seated should have been fabulous but was devoid of any ambiance and appeared to be a reinvention of Ye Old Inne.
You are required to book from a certain time and allocated a 2 hour slot. A good percentage of that time was taken up by queuing at the bar to order drinks and food? The bar is small and the line when I arrived had 11 people in front of me, ordering drinks and dinners for several people a piece? A lengthy business and a strange way to organise a restaurant, in my opinion.
Obviously, the staff deal with this on a daily basis and could not have been nicer.
If you want to visit the museum or the shop check the opening times!
