"Good service poor food"

I ordered the curry of the day a chicken madras it was bland a madras should be firey bring a slight sweat out clear the nostrils.
My waitress told me it was the chefs " take" and not your usual madras i was quite happy with that but not expecting something with less spiciness than a korma.
My wife ordered the liver again poor over cooked and tough.
I should have said at the time but was very English and said it's fine.
