The Jamaica Inn, Bolventor

"Brilliant "

I read the book by Daphne Du Maurier to a client (I’m a carer), through the night. I feel she was just waiting for me to finish it as she passed away an hour later. I was on a pilgrimage of a sort in her name and it didn’t disappoint. The place itself is so well described in the book that I felt I was back there, in the book, at that time. We had lunch which was beautiful and the service was second to none, prices were more than acceptable and we’d eat there again given the opportunity .The history of the inn was very well preserved with references to the book throughout. We also visited the very informative museum, it would make many a non Daphne fan turn I’m sure.
All in all a thouroughly good experience.
