The Jamaica Inn, Bolventor

"Disappointing "

I was so excited to finally visit The Jamaica Inn. My parents had visited in the 1950s and loved it. We did originally plan to stay a night, but we were staying about 1/2 hour away so decided to stop in for an evening meal on route. The service was good we were seen very quickly and taken to our table…we were about 15 minutes early and were allowed to sit straight away. My husband had the curry of the day which was Chicken Korma which he said was bland. He did eat most of it we had been driving for 5 and a half hours without a stop so were hungry. I had the lamb shank which was quite nice but I felt it was overpriced at £29. Sadly, we didn’t enjoy our visit enough to book a stay.
