"Lost authentic charm"

We were recommended to stay here by friends. The building itself is beautiful and interesting. The room we stayed in was supposed to be a superior double although it was very hot so much so we had a fan going all night, I appreciate this is out of the hotels control.The TV didn’t work we followed all instructions in manual and tried everything we are not untechnical, we tried to resolve with hotel by calling reception and left message at 7:30 nobody got back to us, when I checked out I told the duty manager at reception who said sorry I picked up the message this morning reception is not manned from 8pm in the evening.She didn’t seem surprised that it didn’t work. The room was £160 for 1 night!
At breakfast we weren’t offered toast or sauces although we saw other tables who had it nor told about the continental breakfast, pot luck on who served you, finally we were given tea for 2 and when I said we ordered 1 coffee , 1 tea we were told that is not what it says on the ticket. I explained my husband doesn’t drink tea so we would not have ordered two teas the waiter came back to show us the ticket which was baffling as it is irrelevant. We ordered one tea one coffee not a great service, I work in customer service and certainly would not treat a customer in that manner.
