The Jamaica Inn, Bolventor

"Average"
Booked in advance. Clearly stated that we were bringing a dog. On arrival our table had been reserved in the restaurant where dogs are not allowed! Staff scrabbled around and found another table in the ‘dogs allowed’ area.
Extensive ‘pub grub’ menu.
I had moussaka. It was very poor. Piled high with undercooked slices of potato. Minced lamb was dry and not one piece of aubergine to be seen.
Best bit was the side salad. A friend who was eating with us ordered a toasted bacon sandwich and asked for the bacon to be very well done. She waited a very long time for her meal to arrive, after ours. When it did the toast was almost burnt to a crisp!! We looked at the dessert menu but it was very limited and at an average price of around £9 so we decided to give it a miss.
All in all a very underwhelming experience.
Staff were pleasant.
