The White Hart Hotel, Boston

"Things have changed…"

We have always like the White Hart, it’s a nice, cosy place with good food and drinks. However, last few times we have visited we have been left disappointed. From undercooked chicken to service, things are not great. Recently I have booked a “restaurant dining” slot, hoping for a romantic meal in your nice restaurant before partying the night away, awaiting the new year. What I did not expect is for the restaurant to be closed and being sat in the bar, between a noisy disco and the toilets. I could hardly hear my husband most of the night because of the noise from the bar and people were bumping into him constantly while on their way to the toilet. I wish it had been made clear at the time of booking that the restaurant dining is in fact a skimped down Sunday menu served in a bar, even on New Year’s Eve.
