"Delicious food but had to wait more than an hour for our afternoon tea "

I had booked online but called the following day just to check it had gone through ok and the lady I spoke to was absolutely lovely and assured me it had and that it was afternoon tea for 3 .
When we arrived a lady took us to our table and bought us menus. I said we had booked afternoon tea and she said she would check ! She came back and said I had booked it incorrectly online so I said I had rang and confirmed it . She said ok I will ask the chef if he is able to do it as they were fully booked !
She came back and said he could! I wasn’t exactly happy but it was a treat for my Mum n daughter for Mother’s Day so didn’t say anything.
We waited over an hour to be served our tea, nearer an hour and 30 minutes, in that time 4 other tables came in and were served afternoon tea , some of them more than half an hour after we arrived . We were booked in from 1.30 to 3.30 so only had a maximum of 45 minutes to enjoy the experience or though I have to say no one actually reminded is of the time but we were aware how busy they were and didn’t want to put someone else’s experience late .
