"Worst afternoon tea ever"

I redeemed a Mother’s Day voucher and went my my 2 adult children. The sandwich were practically empty except from the butter- that was in abundance- so much butter it made us all feel sick! The cakes were also awful, tiny square of dry lemon cake and some bizarre possibly white chocolate cube? The only thing that was edible was the scones and the whole thing felt cheap and sloppy- certainly what I’d expect from this restaurant and its prices. When we got to the end they had put 2 coffees and a pot of tea on our bill? Apparently they gave us flat white which I found strange as we’d asked for a pot of coffee- so then they tried to charge us £14 on top of the voucher price. Thankfully the manager took those off and didn’t charge us extra but we were never asked what coffee we wanted! My daughter takes sugar but by the time the staff had brought us the sugar cubes the coffee was cold so the sugar took about 10 mins to dissolve!! I found most of the staff to be lacking (apart from the duty manager)
Booking it was also a challenge as no one answers the phone and you can’t book online if you have a voucher because they ask you to pay a huge deposit up front!

The whole experience was awful and I do not recommend it to anyone!
