"Disappointing children’s afternoon tea "

Booked for children’s afternoon tea after seeing some excellent pictures on the website. 3 very excited children for some tasty treats which we had told them included donuts and cake pops with sprinkles.
Services very good, started off well with teapots full of milkshake then we were served what looked like an adults afternoon tea with scones and fancy sponges and pastries and scones. When asking the waiting/ bar staff they said they had never seen a children’s afternoon tea in the hotel that resembled the one I was showing them from the website, offered to provide me with some strawberries and veg sticks to make it slightly more appetising for the children but explaining this was not what they were excited for. They did provide this afternoon tea at a discounted price which was appreciated and fair. Just very disappointing.
There was nothing wrong with the food I would have been more than happy with this afternoon tea if I had ordered it for myself.
