"Could do Better Service"

Booked a table for my wife and I wedding anniversary, asked for a nice table. When we arrived we were shown to an obscure table tucked in a corner. We ordered some water and cocktail, which they messed up. Cocktails were rubbish anyway, why the bar staff can't make a cocktail, is beyond me.

Our main courses were superb, but was spoilt by the lack of service, left languishing with empty plates for far too long. Efforts to attract attention failed, eventually I had to get vocal. When the waitress arrived, I asked for the bill. The bill arrived about 5 mins later, I took out my card ready to pay, but was left again far too long to pay. Eventually, again I had to get verbally loud to attract the waitresses' attention, when she arrived she said, shall I bring the card machine? A further wait to pay left us feeling in two mind whether to return to dine again.
