"The service was rubbish the food overpriced and over cooked "

It was a Birthday meal. We had eaten there before and enjoyed the food so decided to visit again. The food was overpriced for what we had. We shared a starter which had hardly any ingredients. We ordered sizzling platters. When they came one portion was small and the other larger. There was hardly any duck on one and loads on the other. We sent these platters back as they were over cooked and burnt to the sizzling plate. The price of the platters are over priced for what you receive. We were given replacement dishes which we shared as we were concerned at the cost of the amount of food we would receive. The trainee manager was sarcastic when we complained. I told him that he had more training needed in dealing with customer service! When I queried the total of the bill he said “ you haven’t been charged for the sizzling platters!” I said “ I should hope not” My query was that the service charge had been added before I agreed to pay it and was told it was optional. There was certainly not going to be a tip from us. Also there were two other tables who had ordered but not received their order of drinks after 15-20 minutes had passed. All in all a very bad service. We will not be coming again.
