The Castle of Brecon Hotel, Brecon

"Ok but out dated hotel "

Stayed for 1 night as working in Brecon . On arrival hotel looks terribly run down and tatty. Good welcome by manager on reception . Room ok but very dated and not very clean. Broken paines of glass in my windiow but except old sash windows
Couldn’t get TV to work as batteries flat in remote staff were apologetic but had none spare but managed to manually put TV on. Not very comfortable bed ! Shower old but ok very nice toiletries supplied. I had my evening meal here and had Roast beef it was very good & the two young men serving between the bar & restaurant were polite friendly and nothing too much trouble . Drinks very expensive I thought . Lovely views of Brecon Beacons whilst sitting in restaurant . Would I stay again only if nowhere else available & price was right
