"Ok ish hotel , with fabulous staffqq"

Our experience from the checkin to. Checkout , was lovely .
Really really nice people . The young bar waiter and the slightly older dining room waiter were super nice and helpful.
The room was ok … dated , but the bed was comfortable, needed a light shade , just a bare bulb ! Bathroom was clean but basic .
Unfortunately the food for both dinner and breakfast were not great .
I had a vegan chickpea and squash burger, which was ok , a bit sloppy , but tasted nice .
My husband beef , with Yorkshire pudding. This came drowned in gravy , meat tough, and no Yorkshire pudding!
Breakfast, sausage also tough and just not nice , bacon was good , poached eggs a little on the underdone side , again an extremely nice young black waitress.
Overall, it is a tired hotel .
