"Anniversary Dinner"

As someone who lives in walking distance to the hotel I am really disappointed to have to report that the meal was below average and the staff seemed demoralised / disineterested. Also, the gents loo was flooded and I slipped on it but didnt fall over. Its such a lovely location and there is money in Brecon to warrant a better restaurant than this. There are some excellent places to eat in Brecon but Brecon Castle hotel is the only venue for a higher class of dining. It should be better than it is. At the moment its not competing with the Marstons chain hotel restuarant in town. Some positives are that Butty Bach beer is always on tap and the wine list is sensibly priced.
