"Nice food but not a good experience "

We had a meal, the food itself was nice (satay cauliflower salad - one of very few vegan options). However the room we were in was dull, and badly lit. The service was very slow, we asked for the bill twice and then had to chase up to make payment - and it wasn’t that busy either. The mens toilets were disgusting, my husband said if he had been in there first we wouldn’t have eaten there. The women’s toilets weren’t great either. The whole thing felt like it needs a major refurbishment. I’m grateful we didn’t book a hotel room. We stayed at a very nice B&B in Brecon instead. The food, however, did taste nice hence 2 stars instead of 1.
