The Forest Park Country Hotel & Inn, Brockenhurst

"Food excellent, service not quite."

Firstly the quality of the food we were served, particularly the trout starter and venison main was first class. However, although the people were lovely, the service was chaotic. Wine sloshed and splashed into the glasses and over the table, sides missing and after a reminder were brought to us half way through the meal, another table's starters placed in front of us after we had finished ours, the dessert menu brought to us again after we had ordered ours etc. On payment, the hotel handled the situation very well as I declined the service charge. A cost reduction was given to us with apologies.
