"Could do better"

A Sunday evening meal to celebrate 90th birthday was just ok. For what purported to be a high standard hotel restaurant, it was a bit ‘Fawlty Towers’. The welcome was lukewarm. The waitresses and bar staff not as well trained as one would expect. Glasses and bottles went flying as there was a lack of how to handle food and drink. Our waitresses did not seem to understand our order or those of the tables close to us.
The saving grace was the food, which was well presented and tasty.
‘ a could do better’. experience.
Training staff and supervision area obviously necessary.
