"A nice lunch tho service slow "

Food was very tasty and a good choice menu. We booked inside but as it was a nice day we went into the garden, the bar area was pretty empty anyway. There were more staff inside than outside, but most of the people were outside, it wasn’t overly busy. We waited about 15 or 20 minutes for someone to even come and ask for a drink order, and when we ask questions about the menu, such as what is the pie of the day, the waitress didn’t have a clue we asked several questions and she didn’t have any idea about anything. It always amazes me how people who do this job don’t ask those questions and swat up on them at the beginning of a shift . We weren’t asked if we wanted anything else for probably until 45 minutes after we had finished eating. It’s a nice place, and the food is extremely tasty, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Very unattended, and they can’t say they were busy inside because there was nobody hardly in there anyway. Very disappointing in that respect.
