"Over priced and poor restaurant "

Great staff lovely location and decent rooms, but hugely overpriced. If you want to go avoid the overpriced restaurant. It lacks atmosphere but more importantly the quality of the food is poor. The tables are laminate and staff spray these with disinfectant between customers. Something that you’d expect in a ‘greasy spoon’ but not a quality hotel. The staff are enthusiastic but undertrained. When we ordered the wine (£35). The waiter plonked it down unopened and walked off. We had to open it ourselves.
The worst meal we’ve had. First course all you could taste was salt. Second course tough almost inedible pork belly. Desert sticky toffee without a hint of stickyness. Poor quality pub grub at best. Good breakfast! Yes we did complain!
