"Disappointing experience"

We have stayed at the castle in a previous visit and had a lovely time. Good food and service. Our Sunday lunch on the 7th April was a big disappointment. The roast beef was like shoe leather and very gristly. I should have sent it back. My wife's lamb was better. We had to ask twice for lamb sauce and my wife was half way through her meal before it came. We weren't asked how our meal was and weren't asked if we wanted a coffee or sweet. We just ended up paying and leaving. There were only a couple of other tables occupied so it wasn't as if they were run off their feet. Very disappointing. The drinks were an extortionate price £7 for a pint and £6 for a coke!
