The Castle Hotel, Eatery & Coffee House, Conwy

"Charming period hotel in the middle of Conwy"

We stayed a night in the Conwy Castle Hotel in May 2024. I am a coeliac and the variety of their gluten free menu options was part of the attraction, as well as the ideal location and period building. We had paid for an upgraded room and were pleased with our choice. The room was a good size and I thought the playing cards and “take a book/leave a book” was a nice touch. Our room faced the street and it was quiet at night but there was noise with deliveries very early the next morning which woke my husband.
We decided to have lunch and unfortunately due to a mix up I had finished before my husband received his food. Other than that the food was lovely, and so was the dinner we had that evening. Breakfast was fine, they had gluten free bread which they cooked on a seperate grill but no gf sausages, cereal or muffins/scone options.
There is no lift but as we were on the first floor it was fine, the stairs aren’t as tall as they would be in a modern hotel.
Overall we would recommend if one was looking to stay in Conwy.
