The Castle Hotel, Eatery & Coffee House, Conwy

"Afternoon Tea"

We booked Afternoon Tea at the Castle Hotel in Conwy as the hotel looked and sounded very impressive. Unfortunately the Afternoon Tea experience left us disappointed.

Staff were friendly and helpful even though we were brought a pot of tea with no tea bags in it! The food could do with a revamp; the Scone we were served had no clotted cream, only squirty cream. The cheese and pickle sandwich had more pickle than cheese, and the cream cheese sandwich needed more cream cheese and less cucumber/lettuce.

The cookies and brownie seemed as if they were shop bought and were dry in texture.
