"Disappointing service "

We visited The George Hotel for lunch on Sunday and were quite disappointed with the service we received. Upon arrival, we had to actively search for a waiter or waitress to seat us, which wasn’t the warm welcome we expected. Unfortunately, this pattern continued throughout our meal; on two separate occasions, we had to find someone to take our orders, as it felt like we were being completely forgotten about. We even had to get our own menus.

The food itself was okay, but they made an error with our order, which added to the overall dissatisfaction of our experience. It’s a shame because we have dined here before and enjoyed it, but it seems like the service has gone downhill slightly since our last visit.

We hope that this was just an off day, but it certainly left us feeling disappointed with what should have been an enjoyable lunch.
