"Food and service was not 4star"

Firstly, the room in the courtyard was very nice however, the food and service in the restaurant left a lot to be desired. The waiter informed us that there were no steaks and lamb's liver available. We ordered a bottle of wine which the waiter just left on the table in a cooler and never attempted to open it and allow us to try it first. My partner had to open it and pour it into the glasses bad start. I then ordered the Roast Beef and asked for it to be rare . My partner ordered the Coachman's Chicken. I asked the waiter what the vegetables were and he said cabbage and some leeks maybe. When it arrived I was shocked to see it just all piled together on the plate no presentation just a mound of food. The beef was not rare and the cabbage was awful plus the roast potatoes were like concrete and it was just warm. My partners Coachman's Chicken was not much better land it was obvious the chips were frozen, not fresh home cooked chips. When I spoke to the young waiter I told him that I would have expected a selection of vegetable on a side plate not just horrible cabbage piled on to the plate. He did absolutely nothing about it.
