"Disappointing Brunch"

Met up with friends for brunch for a return visit as our first breakfast 3 or so months before had been amazing! This time it was mediocre. Presentation was good ,booking service and attention excellent on the day but we had two avocado on sourdough where the bread was tough , hard and my knife needed to be a saw. My partners full English was a good version of what he'd had before. But nothing was particularly succulent...tough sausages...a mushroom.... no toast? We had to order as an extra. Coffees were excellent though. We do love brunch but it wasn't quite as we remembered.
