"Wonderful location, but... "

Accommodation and food were fine. The very recent refurbishment was evident.
Unfortunately the lift was not working but a room on the first floor was offered instead of the 2nd floor room originally allocated - nevertheless the access staircase was very narrow and there were no staff to assist with carrying suitcases. Generally there was evidence that staffing levels were too low and staff were struggling to provide prompt service.
We found the food menu prices were much as had been anticipated. However the bar prices were decidedly excessive.
