"Ok but not as good as previous visits"

The menu at Tin Pickle and Rhum has shrunk from its pre-update offering. This used to be our go-to place with friends, but to be honest, whilst the ambiance and service was good, the food was very average. My husband summed it up with - ok but I’ve had better pies. The food wasn’t particularly hot either, as if it had been hanging around. Our guests used the phrase “fine” which is not what you want to hear. I had the “surprise” curry. The rice was solid and if I hadn’t added the chicken to it, the surprise would have been that it was largely sauce with little else in it. I won’t be rushing back.
