The Moorland Country Hotel & Inn, Haytor

"Lovely food and waiting staff but long long waits for courses to arrive."

We were seated at a table beside big windows looking out over the garden although it was at night so no view but that was OK. It was chilly because of the cold air coming through the windows. Staff were great and attentive but there was a long long wait for our main courses they didn't all come out at the same time. Our desserts were also very slow to arrive. We asked waiting staff twice where our orders were and how long it would be. Our drinks were also quite slow in arriving. We had booked out table for 7.15 pm and finally left around 10.00pm. This was not our choice but because the food seemed to be very slow at coming out of the kitchen. The place was empty by the time we left. The food however, was very good.
