The Feathers Hotel, Eatery and Coffee House, Helmsley

"Lovely setting, lovely food and very lovely staff!"

We were visiting Helmsley Castle and needed somewhere close by for a special lunch to celebrate my birthday with my parents, the caveat being it also needed to be suitable for my two young children! The Feathers was perfect! We had a comfy table in a corner, so the kids were tucked nicely out of the way, and the food was absolutely spot on - hubby hasn't stopped talking about the burger! But the best bit was our waiter: cheerful, friendly and helpful, he really made the lunch even more enjoyable. And my eldest was super chuffed when he realised they had the same names, he's very proud to have met another Harry! Thanks to all staff and highly recommend to anyone reading this!
