"Very Disappointing Visit"
Bar & Restaurant very busy due to a gig next door. Booked a table for 4 of us at 7pm and when we arrived there seemed to be 3 staff looking after the busy restaurant, which soon dropped to 2 and by the time we left was down to one poor waiter. The starters were both expensive and very small portions for what are described as sharers and of particular disappointment was a tiny, cold Yorkshire Pudding which tasted like cardboard and cost £6. The mains also disappointed. We had 4 different dishes and only the fish and chips was decent. The Steak Frites was like old leather, the sea bass was bland and there was very little trout in the trout dish. To top it all, whilst clearing the table, the waiter rubbed a katsu curry bearing knife across a brand new, white. designer jumper. He managed an "I'm sorry but that is about all. We complained about everything at the time and received a measly £19.95 off the bil; the cost of one main. We are locals and understand why not many locals seem to venture into the Bridge anymore. We we left about 8.30 the whole place was empty, bar & restaurant.
