"Sneaky automatic service charge annoyed me"

Food ok, service ok, not cheap, far too many overhead lights. We’re not aware of the automatic 10% service charge until afterwards. Closer investigation revealed it buried in the small print on the menu (I tend to look at the menu to decide what to eat rather than T&C’s. Staff didn’t advise us of it and although it is on the receipt, I was only shown the total briefly before payment, so it went unnoticed at the time. Won’t be back and won’t be recommending mainly for this reason, but also because there is better value and quality in the local area. Disappointed
