"Excellent with one reservation"

We visited this venue based on a Facebook review by a friend, and the Birthday offer. It was a 45 minute drive for us, so it had to be special - it was my wife’s birthday. The venue was lovely, staff were super friendly and attentive, except we were kept waiting a long time for the bill as the restaurant had become busy. The food was superb - we felt we were judges on Masterchef. The waitress who sang Happy Birthday and the candle in the Eton Mess were lovely touches. My one reservation? The prices. Really, £21.95 for a quite small portion of crab linguine? No matter how tasty. The free main and dessert for my wife made the meals for the three of us affordable, and we may well journey out there again when another birthday comes up - but not until then.
