"Afternoon Tea"

Afternoon tea with Sparkling wine. We first visited 3 years ago for my birthday and returned again this year for my birthday treat. We travelled 100 miles round trip as we were so impressed at our last visit. Regretfully I do not think that we will return again. The sandwiches were almost frozen and didn't really taste of anything. The scones were very dry and the top tier of cakes were not appealing at all. The strawberry and chocolate pud seemed to have been topped with artificial squirty cream. We were told to ask if we wanted more tea or coffee but there was no one around to ask. When we left there was no goodbye, hope you had a nice time etc.
