"Sunday staff !!"

We booked our table for Sunday Lunch online. We selected the restaurant and asked for a quiet spot, maybe by the window. Upon arrival the staff were very vague and seated us in the run up to the toilets! They seemed very confused about our booking and it seems the restaurant wasn’t available. There was a window seat but it hadn’t been reserved for us. The young lad trying to seat us was constantly snapping his knuckle joints and seemed very lost. We decided on another table, this confused the lad even more and another young lad was equally lost but managed a little more conversation.
We seated ourselves. Gave our drinks order to the lad who was snapping his knuckles but the drinks didn’t arrived until our meals were delivered by a more mature server who went to find them.
The food was lovely, sadly the dining experience wasn’t. We’ve stayed at the hotel before and enjoyed the service which is why we revisited on Sunday. Sadly the young, unexperienced, badly trained staff through no fault of their own let you down.
We had to go to the bar to get our bill. The bill wasn’t offered to us, just the amount was put into the card reader! Abysmal!
