The Feathers Hotel, Ledbury

"Comfortable restaurant, disappointing food."

The lady who took our order was very helpful, especially concerning my food intolerances. We had good service and didn't feel rushed. The restaurant itself was attractive and comfortable.
However, we were rather disappointed with the food itself. I had fish and chips and found the fish had little flavour and was rather dry. The menu didn't specify what fish it was. I don't think it was cod. Two of us had the fishcake, again the view was that the fishcake didn't have much flavour. Also the sweet potato fries were too sweet to be a foil for the salad. The person who had the pie (beef and mushroom I think) seemed to enjoy it but thought that some of the vegetable had been undercooked.
