The Talbot Country House Hotel, Malton

"Ok"

Interesting place but not sure I’d recommend as we’ve been to some wonderful places while staying in Malton. Quite a cold atmosphere. We arrived early and were shown to the bar but we weren’t given any menus and by the time our table was ready they seemed to have forgotten us. We made our way back and were awkwardly asked if we wanted the bar or the restaurant. When we were finally seated and had ordered, the service was a little odd. Whilst quite friendly it seemed rushed. For example: asking us if we were enjoying our food before we’d taken a mouthful, taking away the dessert before I’d finished. The food was nice but when there are so many amazing places, it may be hard to keep up.
