"Poor Service"

We recently visited the Talbot for lunch on a Saturday with my Mum and two daughters. We arrived at 12.10 pm for a 12.30 pm booking for brunch. No one else was in the dining room into which we were escorted. We ordered within 20 mins but were kept waiting over 45 minutes for our food. When it came it was delicious but no one apologised for our wait or explained where our food was. The waitress was lovely but could have done better when she knew the food would take so long . We will not be returning again because of the service which is a shame because it is a beautiful place in an idyllic setting.
