"Evening meal"

From time of booking , on arrival ,the meal and leaving I've never been so upset with customer service in all my life . This was a very special occasion of my parents golden wedding anniversary on arrival we met in the bar 19 of us ,we then went through to our private room the manager came through to say there was no steak and ale pie my reply was we pre-ordered over a week ago and this is a purpose of a preorder this just upset myself and parents straight away .The manager said it has changed I again explained this was a pre-order regardless what pie was on the menu today the manager had no empathy and infact the worst manager I have ever come across his attitude was discuting to say the hotel welcomes royalty . The meal arrived the chicken was like a starter size and had no broccoli as advertised on the menu, nobody did a 3 bite check once everybody had starting eating was everything ok with our food would we like anything else . On to desserts again half the menu wasn't on . Ordered coffee from the manager the wrong one came so asked for the correct one but was charged for 2 a extra ice cream came that nobody ordered . There was no communication would we like staff to do the cake I personally handed out the plates and served the cake myself . Everything was utter shambles from start to finish and ruined my parents what should of been a night to remember will now be the worst night to remember. I hope this review goes to the correct person but don't worry if not because it's on trip advisor and gone to the chain company who runs the hotel. There was no final apology on leaving which I find disrespectful we did everything that was asked payed a deposit a week before and a preorder this is clearly somebody's mistake either the chef or front of house.
Totally disappointed
