"Always love the Talbot"

Over the last couple of years, we have visited the Talbot for Bar and Resturant meals with friends, family and even a large group of classic car enthusiasts, each time we have a wonderful experience.

Mothering Sunday, (NOT the Americaised Mothers day) is an important occasion for my now 90 years young Mum and The Talbot was our chosen destination again. The Resturant was fully booked, so we chose the Bar area for a 15.00 hrs seating. My only comments that you may wish to consider were that the service (food to table) was a lot slower than we’ve experienced in the past and my meals (main and veg, plus dessert) were not as hot as they could have been. I guess the others were too, but as the focus was on Mum, non of us wanted to make a fuss and spoil the occasion.

We all (as a family) were dismayed the see that dogs were allowed in the area where food was being served, I appreciate that ‘things have changed’ in recent times and that dogs are now part of those changes we have to accept, but dogs begging for food and paws on tables are juts NOT acceptable... Dogs ‘sniffing’ habits with other dogs are always just NOT hygienic..!!! and to be allowed to nussle and drool on a table or chair where people are eating is simply NOT good hygene practice....
