The Talbot Country House Hotel, Malton

This is the first 'dog friendly' hotel which has actually delivered. From the front door, where you are met with cloths for muddy paws, poo bags, water bowls, wellingtons for a walk in the adjoining gardens, to the room which is supplied with dog bed, more poo bags, feeding bowls, and a bag of treats, no dog could possibly complain they were not thought of. They are allowed everywhere apart from the formal dining room - we ate and breakfasted in the lounge bar areas and were very happy with the dog arrangements. The staff all appreciated the dog friendly policy and were open and freindly and accommodating. I would definately recommend this hotel for anyone with a dog (so long as it is friendly, well behaved and does not bark too much!).
