"Lovely restaurant - surly barman let it down a star"

I took my parents for their 65th wedding anniversary. The venue is lovely and the service in the restaurant exceptional. I've taken off a couple of start as the dark floppy haired young barman/ barperson needs some service training. Borderline rude and con comital he had zero customer service skills and was offhand when I asked what non alcoholic beers they had.

I though the restaurant menu a bit odd - a cross between chain restaurant predictable offerings mixed with fine dining and odd pricing - maybe to appeal to all tastes and budgets. That aside the food we chose was very good and the people who served us professional and attentive. I would go back. Just give that barman some training - or put hin in a non customer facing role.
