"Very comfortable hotel"

The hotel is very comfortable. Our room was large, welcoming and well-appointed. Staff were invariably friendly and efficient. The one area for improvement was the food at both dinner and breakfast. What we had was curiously served in multiple small pots that then needed tipping out onto a plate but, most disappointingly, lacked real flavour and finesse in preparation. At breakfast, the baked beans (again in a mini skillet) had a dried crust on them, the bacon was tough and tasteless and the two fried eggs were on top of each other with the bottom one overcooked and hard. Such a shame. If this area of the experience were to be given a boost, this would be a seriously fine hotel indeed.
